My best suggestion would be to lock yourself away somewhere. Either with someone you're comfortable riding it out with, or alone.
[ Although she knows Carmela and Jaden are together now, Andy doesn't suggest him by name. Not that she doesn't think they've slept together already or will eventually, she just knows that heat is different. Especially since this is Carmela's first. Andy can imagine how nervous she'd be, having her new boyfriend there with her. ]
Your dorm should be fine, just let everyone know. Or you're welcome to use my place. Either way, I'll be coming by to check on you throughout to make sure you're okay/bring you anything you might need.
Not that I doubt in Wyatt's ability to prepare you, but if you have any questions for me, I would be happy to answer them. You know that I'm always here for you, Carmela, no matter what you need.
[ This is a mass text. Let's call it packfilter? Whatever, at any rate it's going round the whole pack. ]

[ It's tempting to yell at him just for the fun of it, but she refrains. ]
All I ask is that you try to make sure it doesn't get completely out of control. Otherwise, have fun. And if you get in trouble, I had no idea it was happening.
You really want a mother figure crashing the party? Aren't you worried that would bring down the mood?
[ It's mostly a joke, though she imagines there's some truth to it. Andy's no strangers to partying, but she also knows that having an adult in an otherwise teenage party can damper things. Even if it's an adult that's part of the pack. ]
[Connor had always loved to run. It always made him feel free and was the one thing he could take pride in back home with his pack. The other wolves might have been stronger but he was faster. He could literally run away from his problems. The area they lived in was one he'd become very familiar with over the years since he hadn't lived anywhere else and they didn't stray too far from home, so Connor was inwardly thrilled to be able to explore a new place when he came to Mythian. As he ran, he let his mind go blank as he tried to forget about Alex, forget about not measuring up to his parents' expectations of him, forget about how there was only disappointment in their eyes whenever they looked at him.
For the first time in a long time, he truly felt free. He wouldn't have to go deal with those problems at the end of the day, and yeah, he'd probably have to deal with them eventually but not for a good long while. At first, he ran in human form but once he got closer to the woods, he found a tree to change behind, putting his clothes in a bag that he could find later, then raced around in his gray wolf form instead. He didn't hold anything back and let himself run as fast as he could for a good while, then stopped and turned to head back to where his clothes where, sniffing around curiously at all the different scents he found as he went, even pausing to let out a howl to let any other wolves nearby know he was there.]
[ The howl wasn't really necessary, at least not for Andy. She typically ran this path every morning before sunrise (or around sunrise in the months that the sun came up earlier) and was just looping back toward the academy when she caught the lingering scent of an only partly familiar werewolf. It wasn't pack, that much was obvious, but it had an underlying familiarity to it that at least suggested it was one of the wolves on campus.
She stops in the middle of the path - in her human form - and inhales deeply just as she hears the howl behind and to the left of her. Even though she feels confident the werewolf's not a threat, she still feels a rush of instinctual protectiveness rise up inside of her, making her shoulders tense. Blame it on the recent appearance of some crazed selkie or merely on the basic territorial instincts inside of her; whatever the reason, Andy steps toward the side of the road - still in view, if someone's paying close enough attention - and keeps an eye on the rough direction the howl came from. ]
[ Immediately after leaving the cafeteria, Carmela runs all the way to Andy's office, her walls crumbling down as she goes so that by the time she gets there, she's a sobbing mess. Mascara running down her cheeks, hair falling loose from the pins she'd put in it. She's a disaster, and she hopes against all hope that Andy is there. ]
[ Andy's been on high alert since Sylwia's appearance - even higher since the attack only days ago - so she feels the panic from one of her wolves outside her office before she even looks up at the sound of footsteps. It takes a half second to figure out that it's Carmela and another two before she's at the door, the hinges and wood creaking in protest at the strength with which she tears it open.
Nostrils flared and hackles raised, she takes a quick physical assessment of Carmela. Seeing no wounds, she reaches out to grab the younger wolf by the shoulders and pulls her into a hug. ] Hey, [ she says quietly, though there's absolutely no denying the edge to her voice, the threat making itself clear: whoever did this to Carmela is going to regret it. Deeply. ] I've got you. You're okay.
[ She'll ask what happened when Carmela's a bit calmer, able to actually speak through the tears. ]
[Connor found where he had left his clothes, still thankfully all there, and slipped back into the shorts and t-shirt. He left his shoes off, stuffing them into the bag so he could enjoy the feeling of walking around barefoot in the dirt for awhile. He started to follow the path back to the school, but he didn't get too far down it before he someone standing by the road a ways away. He stopped, tensing up a little and just watching them to see how they'd react to him first.]
[ Andy could hear the faint uptick in the boy's heartbeat, even with the distance between them, but it wasn't enough to worry her; it seemed to just be the surprise of coming across someone in an otherwise presumedly empty path. So she took a step forward, visibly relaxing although her stance stayed as such that she would easily be able to move quickly, if necessary. ]
You're new here, aren't you? [ His scent was familiar enough that she knew she'd smelled it in passing but new enough that she wasn't familiar with it, couldn't pinpoint who he was just from the trail. It was then that she actually relaxed fully, a soft smile coming to her face. ] Sorry; I didn't mean to startle you. This time of the morning, I've usually got this path to myself.
[ Carmela burrows into Andy's arms and sobs, choking out a few beginnings of words but never a whole sentence. ] We-- I--! He-- [ Even just thinking about Jaden makes her cry harder, giving up on talking just to hold onto Andy for now. ]
Sorry. I just like to run. [As he approached her, he reacted instinctively, keeping his eyes to ground and his posture non-threatening while hunching his shoulders down.] I'm new, yeah. Connor. I mean, my name is Connor.
Take a breath, [ Andy says, rubbing a hand over Carmela's back in slow, soothing strokes. She also starts to pull the younger girl with her, leading them both back into her office in an attempt to give them some privacy. The last thing Carmela probably wants on top of whatever's got her so upset is people walking by and seeing her break down like this; she's always so put together, so strong and sure of herself. Sobbing in front of fellow classmates certainly wouldn't be enjoyable in any way. ]
Whatever happened you're safe here, okay? Just try to catch your breath first; explaining can happen after. [ Admittedly, Andy's anxious to know what happened, something Carmela could probably sense - if she was paying enough attention - both in the tension in her muscles and the mirrored tension in the pack bond. ]
Don't worry about it, Connor. [ Andy, who never really cared much for her betas or other wolves in general showing respect in such a docile and submissive way, ducked her head slightly to try to catch his gaze. (Very slightly since he was taller than her by a good half-foot or so.) ] I just wasn't expecting you, that's all. I'm Andy. Or Miss Barrish, I guess, but I really prefer Andy.
[His eyes flicked up to meet hers even though he still kept his head lowered for now, glancing back and forth between her and the ground now, at least.] It's, uhm, nice to meet you, Andy. You run this path every morning?
I try to. Sometimes the weather doesn't let me. [ Though it takes a lot for her to skip, like a full-on whiteout blizzard or something. She smiles slightly again, trying to get him to relax a bit more. ] Do you run a lot?
[ She'd only been partway through her own run, but Andy turns in the direction of the school, making it clear she's willing to head back with him if he wants. ]
